With limited training and comms budgets, it can be hard to make the case for taking a course. But your development is IMPORTANT!
Here is a template email you can send to the person who decides (or maybe you’re the person who decides – in which case, here’s why your colleague should attend!)

I would like the opportunity to attend the Comms Creative Content Programme, a 12 week online course for comms and marketing professionals. It is focussed on boosting social media engagement and developing creative content skills.
The course takes around 2 hours a week, and teaches techniques on getting more people to respond to and share our organisations’s social media posts. Students learn how to make better videos, tell stories more effectively and appeal to our audiences with more relevant content on Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram and Twitter.

As well as live webinars, there are downloadable resources, tasks to complete and I would gain the Comms Creative Content Expert certificate.
The syllabus covers social media strategy, video, graphics, copywriting, and everything else I need to become a content expert.

I will also be able to share what I learn with the team and others in the organisation, so colleagues can all achieve higher engagement with our audiences.

I want to take the course so I am aware of the newest and most effective communications techniques. The trainer, Hel Reynolds, has won many communications and PR awards, including the 2018 Social Media Marketing Awards. She has an exemplary reputation for training communications professionals.
