Get approval for social media training

Mar 12, 2022

If you want to learn new techniques and strategies to improve reach and social media engagement, our inspiring and practical Social Media Expert Programme is the best option.

But with limited training and comms budgets, it can be hard to make the case for taking a course.  But your development is IMPORTANT!

Below is a template email you can send to the person who decides.

(Or maybe you’re the person who decides – in which case, here’s why your colleague should attend!)

Edit as needed, and show them the benefits of investing in you.

Dear [manager/training manager name],

I would like the opportunity to join the Social Media Expert Programme, a 9-week online training programme for comms and marketing professionals.

The course teaches social media strategy, tactics that get more engagement and also promotes creativity

Before I get to the benefits of taking this course, I wanted to mention that there is currently an offer available that gives new students a year of membership of  Comms Creatives Academy that provides instant access to more than 30 in-depth social media classes, live monthly training, and support from a welcoming community of communications professionals.

Each month there are new online events that will give me the opportunity to learn new trends and skills that will improve our social media and grow my confidence and expertise.

So by investing in the training, we get:

  • Enrolment in the live Social Media Expert Programme – which teaches strategic and tactical skills that will boost our social media engagement and help me develop my creative content skills.
  • New online training every month (taught by experts) and exclusive access to a library of 30+ in-depth social media classes.
  • A private Facebook group where I can learn best practice, gain support and get my questions answered.
  • Personal advice and inspiration whenever I need it, at the monthly online social media clinics.

The syllabus

Lessons are live on Wednesdays between 10am and 12 noon.

Lesson 1: Social media strategy
Lesson 2: Analyse and define your brand’s social channels
Lesson 3: Your social media audiences
Lesson 4: Creative content planning
Lesson 5: Creative content formats
Lesson 6: Tone of voice and copywriting for social media
Lesson 7: Storytelling
Lesson 8: Visuals and video
Lesson 9: Optimise your social media content

The programme is designed to dramatically increase our social media engagement with a proven social media content system.

For this quality and level of training, that includes personal support and unlimited access, the programme is excellent value.

As the training is practical, I will be able to very quickly use the learning in my work, so we quickly see higher engagement rates in our social media communications and more creative, effective content.

And it is also a long term investment in my professional development, as I can network with other communications professionals, and once I complete the Social Media Expert Programme I would gain the Social Media Expert certificate.

We will get particular value from the training on [insert topic that’s important to you or your organisation].

The full course programme can be found here.

I will also be able to share what I learn with the team and others in the organisation, so colleagues can all achieve higher engagement with our audiences.

I want to take the course so I understand and can implement the newest and most effective communications techniques.

The trainer, Hel Reynolds, has won many communications and PR awards, including the 2018 Social Media Marketing Awards. She has an exemplary reputation for training communications professionals.

You can see the excellent reviews from former and current students here.

Costs, location, duration

The cost is £999+VAT per person to join the programme for a year of access to all the training and resources. FOr a team of 6, the cost is £3499+VAT.

All training is all online, and so it saves the environmental and financial cost of travel and accommodation.

Being online and available to watch on catch-up any time that suits me, means it is also very flexible.

I am keen to book as soon as possible, as our team has important work to implement and we need to make our communications as engaging and sharable as we can, to ensure we make an impact.

I’d be so grateful if you’d consider this opportunity for me to develop my skills, and bring the organisation even more value from my work.
